The Gardens Trust is looking for a new trustee for the role of GT Treasurer who will take over when our current treasurer steps down from the Board. The treasurer will work closely with the chair and other trustees to oversee the financial management of the charity and advise on strategic matters during a period of exciting change and development.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of charity financial procedures and the reporting requirements of the Charity Commission, SORP and Companies House. However, a desire to support a small established organisation and a willingness to learn and adapt skills to our needs are the most important qualities we are looking for.
The appointment is for an initial term of three years, renewable once to a maximum of six years. The Board of the Gardens Trust meets four times a year during the day in March, June, September and December. Most Board meetings are held by Zoom. The Treasurer will also be a member of the Management Committee and take on specific projects as required. The time commitment is estimated to be approximately two days per month.
