Historic Buildings Parks & Gardens Event

The Gardens Trust will have a stand at the 2021 Historic Buildings, Parks and Gardens Event which will take place on Tuesday 16th November at the QEII Centre in Westminster, London. The event is free to attend for everyone in the conservation and heritage sectors if you register by 25th October. Owners, guardians, volunteers and professionals are all welcome.

The event includes an exhibition, demonstrations, guest speakers and the Historic Houses President’s address and presentation of awards.

Historic Buildings event exhibition

At the heart of this major heritage conservation event is the comprehensive exhibition. Stalls from a wide variety of companies and organisations offer information, advice, solutions, guidance & support, as well as products and services. Visitors have the opportunity to discuss their projects, whether traditional or cutting edge with specialist suppliers. Exhibitors will share their knowledge of the care, repair, conservation, maintenance, preservation and restoration of historic buildings and their contents, landscapes and gardens.

There will also be a selection of short live demonstrations by experts about practical skills, conservation techniques and products & services. These will include demonstrations by the highly skilled carvers and conservators of The City & Guilds of London Art School.

Historic Houses talks and awards

Historic Houses will present awards in four categories: Restoration, Garden of the Year, Sustainability and the Frances Garnham Award. Attendance at the President’s address, the afternoon Savills lecture – to be given by the Earl of Leicester, Holkham Hall – and award presentation is by kind permission of Historic Houses and is subject to seating availability.

The event will take place at the QEII Centre, Broad Sanctuary, Westminster, London SW1P3EE,  from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday 16th November. You can find updates about the content of the day on the event website.

Registration is essential and open until 25th October on the Historic Buildings Parks & Gardens Event website, using the code New Visitor. We look forward to seeing you there!
