I am researching the work of Philip Southcote of ferme ornee fame for a PhD thesis. There is considerable information available regarding Wooburn Farm but little relating to Southcote’s early life, career and family background with the exception of R.W.King’s article of the 1970s. If anyone has information to share or can point me in the direction of any archival sources I would be most grateful.
