The Gardens Trust is recruiting for a part-time Administration and Membership Officer. We are looking for a self-motivated team-worker to help with the organisation, coordination, administration and membership activities needed to support our work. This is a key support role so you will need to work closely with all GT staff and volunteers, but particularly with our Board, Head of Operations and Strategy and Finance Officer.
The Gardens Trust is the only UK national charity dedicated to protecting and conserving our heritage of designed landscapes. We campaign for them, undertake research and conservation work, and encourage public appreciation and involvement. We are passionate about sharing our understanding and love of landscapes with the wider community, and are keen to get better at doing this. We work closely with volunteer colleagues in 37 affiliated County Gardens Trusts.
Administration and Membership Officer job
The work will include:
- governance support
- organisation and membership administration
- information management
- support for County Gardens Trusts
The role will be home-based with some travel, mainly to London. The salary offered is £25,000 pro rata for 21 hours per week (0.6 full-time equivalent, so £15,000) with 28 days annual leave pro rata, plus Bank Holidays in full. In keeping with the new government pension legislation, all employees are required to enroll into a work place pension. Legal & General manage the Garden Trust’s pension contributions.
