Study Trip to Suffolk 10th-12th September 2024
Each year our members are invited to an exclusive Garden History Study Weekend, where you’ll get an opportunity to visit and explore a range of gardens (some not usually open to the public) and meet the people who care for them today.
In early September this year, we’ll be offering a members-only, fully inclusive, 3-day, 2-night study trip to some of Suffolk’s most significant gardens. We will visit six gardens, all fully guided including: Somerleyton and Helmingham Hall, both grade one, the Abbey Gardens, and Crowe Hall, a garden not normally open to the public. Accommodation is provided at the historic 4* Angel Hotel in central Bury St Edmonds, easily accessible by train and with free parking. There will be a luxury coach for transport between the gardens with a pick up and drop off at a local railway station at the start and end of the trip. Booking via Eventbrite, will open in early April when the final arrangements will have been completed.
