The Gardens History Society were informed when new dwellings were built recently overlooking the War memorial Rest Gardens and Friends of Victoria Embankment were we are told consulted. A new development has gone to planning and we wondered if the GHS has been informed. The houses are of a different design increasing in height closer to the border of the Gardens and will be higher overall with pitched roofs. Many park users are concerned that this will further intrude upon the function of these Rest Gardens. More trees are under threat along the border of the Garden.
