The Gardens Trust both supports and relies on a network of dedicated volunteers across England and Wales to help us protect and promote historic designed landscapes. Could you volunteer for us?
Volunteers provide invaluable support to 37 County Gardens Trusts across a range of activities from historical research to events, social media, publicity and administration. Without their generous support, our work would not be possible.
County Gardens Trusts are always looking for more volunteers to help with the important work of protecting historic designed landscapes. They welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and experience levels – particularly those from communities who are underrepresented in heritage and the environment sectors. Training will be provided locally and through the Gardens Trust’s Volunteer Support team.

Media Volunteer
We’re looking for a volunteer who can dedicate 5-10 hours per month to our events team, helping to publicize our in-person events. We hope this new volunteer role will help to grow our audience base and highlight the role of the Trust through helping to write media releases and creating press lists. This role can be undertaken remotely and is initially for six months, with the potential to be extended beyond this time. Ideally we’re looking for someone with an interest or background in press, marketing or events promotion.
