The last year has been a busy one for the Gardens Trust, having delivered activities across several volunteer and community engagement projects, all aimed at encouraging more people to get involved in researching and conserving their local parks and gardens.
We’re pleased to share that our hard work has been featured in the latest Historic Environment Overview 2022-23, a significant, sector-wide report produced by the Historic Environment Forum with support from Historic England and the National Trust.
Produced annually, it provides headline updates on key changes to the sector as well as showcasing key activity during the last financial year across seven main areas: Policy, Legislation & Guidance; Funding & Investment; Resilience & Skills; Climate Change & the Environment; Place & Engagement; Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Wellbeing; Events & Awards. This report has been built collaboratively from contributions within the Forum membership as well as some valuable additions from colleagues across the wider sector.
