We are thrilled to announce our participation in the iconic London Marathon 2025, and we’re inviting you to join us on this incredible journey.
We have secured five coveted places in the London Marathon 2025 and one of these spots has been taken up by our Head of Operations and Strategy, Linden Groves! You can read more about her taking on the challenge here.
As part of her training journey through parks around the UK, Linden will be meeting the people who help look after them to find out how and why these historic green spaces are so important to us all. We’re hoping to raise some much needed funds for the Gardens Trust along the way and to talk about the work we do to help protect parks and gardens.
Sheffield Botanical Gardens
Linden meets Jill Sinclair from the Friends of Botanical Gardens Sheffield to talk about its intriguing history (including it’s surviving bear pit!), their vibrant and busy volunteer group and what the Gardens mean to local people today.
Wicksteed Park
Join Linden as she meets Kelly Richardson and runner Elise Downing from Wicksteed Park, who are making it an exciting and accessible park for the local community and visitors from further afield.
Kenwood
Crissy Mulrain, Head Gardener at Kenwood in London talks to Linden about the history of its designed landscape and how the team there help to conserve and protect it for future generations to enjoy.
Stay tuned for more updates on Linden’s journey to the 2025 London Marathon start line!
