As some of you might be aware the Norfolk Gardens Trust Research Group is writing a book on HR and Regency Gardens in Norfolk. We are trying to establish if anyone directly influenced HR’s work apart from Brown and Robert Marsham. Once he moved to Hare Street did he visit or correspond with anyone else working in the field?
LPGT’s new programme of talks includes one about Queen Charlotte’s Cottage at RBG Kew. Polly Putnam will discuss how this early example of an ornamental cottage encouraged the fashion for the cottage orné and influenced Repton. Polly is a curator at the Historic Royal Palaces. Perhaps she would be a helpful contact for your book? Best wishes, Jenifer White
